On Friday, October 10, 2025, the Embassy of Spain in Ghana hosted a reception to commemorate the National Day of Spain. The event was in partnership with the Spain-Ghana Chamber of Commerce and supported by member companies, Coca-Cola, Miniplast, Greenviews, GB Foods, Maxam, Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah, Wagcol and Comet Ghana. The reception was attended by government officials, including the Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, a large representation of the Spanish community resident in Ghana, the Spanish Navy operating in the Gulf of Guinea, representatives of other embassies and diplomatic corps, members of the Spain-Ghana Chamber of Commerce and business leaders.
The occasion highlighted the strong bilateral relationship between Spain and Ghana. The celebration focused on cooperation in sustainable energy, maritime security, and cultural exchange.
Hon. Samuel Nartey George praised Spain’s support in key areas such as sustainable energy, food security, water treatment, and gender equality and emphasised the need for continued collaboration on security issues and trade. He reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to international law and multilateralism, expressing support for Spain’s global peace efforts.
The event highlighted the friendship, cooperation, and shared vision between Spain and Ghana, celebrating culture, innovation, and unity.
