The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has announced a revision of its fees and charges relating to the registration of businesses operating in Ghana. This could affect both new investors and existing enterprises seeking regulatory approvals.
The updated fees take effect from February 2, 2026 and they are in line with the GIPC Fees and Charges (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025. The changes are expected to influence the cost structure for foreign and joint-venture enterprises seeking to establish or regularise operations in Ghana.
GIPC has also explained that all service fees are non-refundable and remain subject to review by the Centre without prior notice. What this means is that, businesses must factor regulatory costs into their investment planning.
The fee revision comes at a time when Ghana is positioning itself to attract sustainable foreign direct investment while strengthening compliance and oversight within its investment regime.
