The Spain-Ghana Tourism and Trade Forum was a strategic meeting with tourism stakeholders from Spain and Ghana held at the Gran Canary Island in Spain to explore ways of collaboration in the development of sustainable tourism and trade in Ghana to promote the role of Spain through the Gran Canary Island and encourage the flow of investment in both directions.
The objective of the forum was to analyze the evolution of tourism in Spain and Ghana. Thus, study of success cases in the tourism industry, together with the interaction of the main trade and tourism companies with the sectorial delegation of Ghana and to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between Spain and Ghana.
The Western Regional Minister of the Republic of Ghana, Hon. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah was in attendance together with Her Excellency Elizabeth Adjei, Ghana’s Ambassador to Spain; Her Excellency Alicia Rico, Ambassador of Spain to Ghana; Mr. Celestino Álvarez-Neira, President of the European Business Organization Ghana and Ms. Ingrid Asensio Ramos, General Secretary of the Spain Ghana Chamber of Commerce.
